We provide three levels of CPR experience:
Have a go at CPR is a more relaxed approach with instructors on hand to talk through the basics behind CPR and instruct participants using the resuscitation dummies. These sessions don’t have a formal sit-down introduction so they can be run for various lengths with people dropping in, ideal for running alongside another event.
Learn about CPR is a more structured session running for approximately 40minutes. In this session participants learn the when, why & how of CPR before having a go themselves under clear tuition with feedback. Resuscitation dummies and a training external automatic defibrillator are available for these sessions. Each can accommodate up to 10 people at a time with two instructors or 5 people with 1. They can be repeated multiple times within a booking to work through a larger number of participants. At the end of the session participants can receive a certificate of participation.
Develop skills in CPR is the most formal of the sessions and is assessed for competency at the end of the session. These sessions are limited to 6 participants at a time, and the duration is 90-180 minutes depending on class size. Participants will be taught the when, why & how of CPR, including how to recognise a cardiac arrest, the basic life support algorithm and how to apply and use an AED. The session will also cover how to communicate with the emergency services and how to put someone into the recovery position. To complete this training participants, need to be deemed proficient in the techniques taught. Candidates will be assessed and certificated in BLS.
Cost – Session costs are available on request and are dependent on the type of training, number of participants and type of organisation.
